Fredric J Holtgren started Holtgren electric in the late 50’s as a union electrical contracting firm in Wauconda, IL.
The construction Company was started in 1961 as a subsidiary of Holtgren Electric Co. and continued until 1974, when Hydra Corporation was formed.
Holtgren Electric was sold in 1980, and Hydra Corporation has continued to the present in Wauconda, IL with Fred Holtgren being the owner and chairman.
Hydra Corporation has developed Rand Industrial Parks 1-2-3-4, Hollow Hill Industrial Park, Wauconda Industrial parks 1 & 2, Wauconda Business Park, and Denmar Resubdivision Industrial Park.
Today Hydra Corporation provides concept to construction for industrial and commercial customers. We currently have improved land in our industrial park, with central water detention and utilities, ready to build on.
Hydra Corporation Builds in Lake, McHenry, Kane and Northern Cook Counties.
